NCS wishes Nick Judson and all of Tim Healy's team congratulations on finishing 1st in the J24 Midwinter Championships!

News traveled up the East coast on Saturday, January 10, 2009 that Nantucket Community Sailings Executive Director, Nick Judson, and the rest of his Crew placed first in the J24 Midwinter Championship.  Hosted by the Davis Island Yacht Club, in Tampa Florida, the J24 Midwinter Championships experienced a frontal passage that blew out the competitors on their practice race day.  As a result the sailors experienced mainly light winds for the 3-day event.  The winning team comprised of Tim Healy, Dave Crocker, Nick Judson, Nick Von Der Wense and Gordon Borgess had all scores in the top 10.  These scores gave Tim Healy and his crew a sizable victory of the other competitors.  In second place was Will Welles's team and in third came John Mollicone and his team.
