NCS Launches Rowing Program

Calling all Potential Rowers!
Nantucket Community Sailing is pleased to announce a pilot rowing program from August 24th - September 3rd. The rowing program will be coached by Rick Porteus, who is returning to Nantucket for his third summer coaching novice and intermediate rowers. Rick is the founder of Cape Cod's Barnstable Rowing, has rowed for Tabor, Harvard, and Cambridge Boat Club, most recently stroking a Senior Masters Four in last year's Head of the Charles Regatta. Rick has more than twenty years' experience coaching youth and adults, ages 12 through 69, and looks forward to the expansion of rowing under Nantucket Community Sailing.

Session 1: 6:30am - 8:30am Tuesday - Friday
(16 hours of rowing instruction/over 2 weeks)
Session 2: 5:00pm - 7:00pm Tuesday - Friday
(16 hours of rowing instruction/over 2 weeks)
Capacity:
6 people per session
Cost:
$250 per person per session
Rowing classes will be held at Polpis Harbor. Participants will use the Polpis Harbor Access Road at the intersection of Polpis Road and Wauwinet Road, and park in the designated parking lot (Nantucket Land Bank property).
