Flexible Instruction for Every Sailor
Nantucket Community Sailing offers private lessons and clinics designed to meet individual goals and schedules. Whether you’re stepping onto a boat for the first time, returning to sailing after a break, or refining advanced skills, our experienced instructors tailor instruction to your needs.
Lessons and clinics are offered at Jetties Sailing Center and focus on safety, confidence, and enjoyment on the water.
Private Lessons
Private lessons are a great opportunity to learn to sail or refine existing skills. Personalized instruction focuses on building confidence, comfort on the water, and practical seamanship in a supportive, one-on-one or small-group setting. Lessons are ideal for sailors who want focused attention, flexible scheduling, or targeted skill development. Note, display prices include fees.
Toddler (Ages 2–4)
Short, playful sessions designed to introduce young children to boats and the waterfront. Available Monday-Saturday, from 6/21-8/20, throughout the day. For up to 3 sailors.
$132.50/hour
Youth (Ages 5–12)
Individual or small-group lessons focused on basic sailing skills, confidence, and comfort on the water. Available Monday-Saturday, from 6/21-8/20, throughout the day. For up to 3 sailors.
$212/1.5 hours
Teen & Adult (Ages 13+)
Customized instruction for teens and adults at all experience levels, from beginner fundamentals to advanced boat handling and racing techniques. Available Monday-Saturday, from 6/21-8/20, throughout the day. For up to 3 sailors.
$265/2 hours
